The company started out as a light manufacturer of wiping materials and in 1996 expanded its product lines to include a wide variety of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) serving all industries throughout the island. The company is committed to providing high quality, efficient products and solutions for their clients and their ever changing needs.

Our History
Nathan Rothenberg emigrates to New York City from Eastern Europe and establishes a used clothing business out of his horse and buggy.
Nathan's oldest, Morris Rothenberg, joins the family business and relocates operations to Great Jones Street, NYC. The company expands into also selling military surplus (wholesale), wiping materials, and other dry goods products.
Marvin's oldest, Morris Rothenberg, joins the company after graduating from American University in Washington D.C.
New York Wiping Products Co. expands its product line to include work footwear and personal protective equipment (PPE) it is renamed New York Wiping & Industrial Products Company.
Safety Zone acquires two more Shoemobiles from its competitor Iron Age, increasing its fleet to four trucks.
